What This App Does
Calendar Jot is an app for entering records in a consistent format into the built-in Calendar app on iOS.
With a few simple changes to how you enter information, you can use your calendar for much more than appointments.
1. Templates
If you regularly create entries in a particular format, you can make your own templates and enter them more easily.
For example:
- Walking 3 km
- [Book] Book Title 30%
By keeping daily records in your calendar, you can use it as a personal life log.
2. Chat Mode
Chat Mode is useful when you want to use a fixed title, such as “Journal” or “Quick Notes,” and freely write in the notes field.
Perhaps it is not something you would post on social media, but you still want to write it down. Maybe you just want to capture a passing thought before you forget it. When that happens, simply drop it into your calendar. We recommend creating a separate calendar for these entries instead of mixing them with your regular appointments.
This lets you use your calendar as a private place for thoughts, notes, and little observations.
3. Checklists
You can combine multiple templates into a single template set.
Use it as a checklist for things you do every day or every week, and keep a record of the items you complete.
This lets you use your calendar as a habit tracker.
